Upon arrival at Delta Water Processing, the load is gauged and sampled. The sample is then analyzed and compared to the original fingerprint analysis that was performed during profile generation. If the sample results indicate a surcharge, the customer is contacted for approval prior to offloading. Once the truck is approved to offload it is sent through our pre-treatment process. The wastewater enters an oil/water separator and air stripper system prior to being sent to the primary clarifiers. This process captures any oil or product and removes VOC’s that may be present. From the clarifiers, the wastewater enters a DAF (Dissolved Air Floatation) system. Once the water has been chemically treated in the DAF system it will undergo biological treatment. When permit parameters are met the biomass is settled and the treated wastewater is discharged to the Houston Ship Channel.
